Notes:

A confounding variable here is that more residents of Lower Paalaban engage in small-scale mining and are therefore increasing their exposure to mine drainage more than the residents not involved in small scale mining. (This was not realized during the design of the survey so that degree of engagement in small scale mining was not adequately documented.)
