About Us

The Abra River is in a state of environmental collapse but…

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE…

The Save the Abra River Movement aims to expose and oppose the environmental destruction brought about by corporate mining and other commercial endeavors which trample on the rights and livelihood of peasants and indigenous peoples. It is a broad-based effort to put together all concerned individuals and spell the difference for the Abra River and Mother Earth.

Ultimately, it would be our unified and organized efforts that would matter most in this most sacred endeavor. Within our hands lies the choices for destruction or healing, indifference or caring, giving or taking, living or dying.

The destruction of the Abra River also means the destruction of our lives. We will not stop, lose hope, turn aside or fail until brown and grey flows blue along the mighty Abra River.

Stop Lepanto expansion! Clear the Abra River! Oppose environmental destruction and peoples’ displacement in the name of corporate profit!
